About the Speakers:

Mark Edington

Mark Edington is the founding director of the Amherst College Press, an open access press publishing monographs in the humanities and the humanistic social sciences. He is also the publisher of Lever Press, an open access press supported by a consortium of fifty-four liberal arts institutions across the United States.

Ros Pyne

Ros Pyne is Head of Policy and Development, Open Research at Springer Nature, where she manages projects in support of the company's open access strategy and policies and heads up the Springer and Palgrave Macmillan open access books programmes. She has worked in academic publishing since 2007 in a variety of publishing and open access roles, and holds degrees in English from the University of Cambridge and King’s College London.
